EPP Newsletter
The TEA/ETS newsletter focuses on upcoming events, reminders about important deadlines, suggestions on how to improve the test-taker experience, test center recruitment updates, and other important announcements regarding the Texas Educator Certification Testing Programs. Suggestions for improving this newsletter are welcome and may be submitted to Rick Cullors via e-mail at rcullors@ets.org.
The online issues of the EPP Newsletter are password-protected. To access these newsletters, you must obtain a password by e-mailing EPPAdmin@ets.org. Once you have the password, choose an EPP Newsletter from the list below:
Registration Bulletins
The 2008-09 Registration Bulletins can be downloaded free of charge.
Registration Flyers
A 2008-09 Registration Flyer is also available for you to distribute to your educators/interns. This flyer answers the questions test takers most often ask about registering to test. There are two versions of this document.
- 3-page 8 1/2 x 11 document (PDF)
- 1-page double-sided 8 1/2 x 11 document. This should be folded into a brochure. There are "tick marks" on the front page so you will know where to fold. This is a read-only Word file; you cannot make any changes to this document.

EPP Section of ETS TExES Website Expanded
The EPP section of the ETS TExES website has been expanded. In addition to the secure area where EPPs can view a list of candidates registered for testing on a real-time basis; access reports (roster reports, score reports, summary reports, etc.) and order representative tests; a Download Library, FAQs about registration, past issues of the EPP Newsletter, and important updates for EPPs have been added. To access the expanded EPP section, choose Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs) in the left-hand menu at www.texes.ets.org.
To access the secure EPPAdmin area, once you enter the new EPP section choose "Administrator Login" in the left-hand menu and enter by clicking on "Go to Log in."

Timeframe for Availability of CAT Scores
We have been receiving calls from candidates who have indicated that their EPP advisors have told them that CAT scores are available within 24 hours of the test date. Please note that this is rarely the case. It is possible, depending on proximity of the test date to when we process the score files, that candidates may occasionally receive their scores within 24 hours; however, this is not the norm. Please advise your candidates that TExES CAT scores will be available within 7 days of the test date - this is an accurate statement.
